MORNING SHOWERS OF BLESSINGS MEDITATIONS (MSBM)

TEXT: JOHN 14:1
THEME: DO NOT LET YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED

Dear friend in Christ Jesus good morning blessings. Times are really hard. People are struggling to survive. Many barely manage to eat or stay hopeful. This world is turning into something else. The economy of the nations are crumbling. It’s not like it’s happening in one country but it’s a global economic financial crisis. The numerous wars across the globe are affecting the global economy seriously. Business is slow. Health issues and complications are on the rise. A few are doing well economically and financially but a majority of the people are really suffering.

Believers are praying but things are not really showing signs of improvement. This world is turning into a hopeless arena.

But Jesus Christ knew that a time will come like this and He began to encourage and exhort his disciples when he said “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God believe also in me”. To many in this life, Jesus Christ is their last hope. Nothing is working again. They have no one to rely on again. Nobody wants to help the other. Every body is hard up and complaining. Governments are helping to frustrate the people every day with bad policies and deep corruption. The Very Rev Dr Nyansako-ni-Nku Moderator Emeritus of PCC was right when preaching at an ordination ceremony of pastors in Kumba and Bamenda, he said, “The people have lost hope in their government and politicians and their last hope is in the Church”. He was truly right but unfortunately the Church of today in many instances is becoming so helpless in her own shortcomings. But the Psalmist affirms that we look up to the hills from where our help will come from (Psalm 121). I have learned not only to love this Psalm but to trust what it says 100%.

There’s hope my friend. Job a man who lost almost everything but for a nagging wife, refused to give up and he made this prophetic statement in Job 14:7-9, “There’s hope for a tree even when it is cut down it will sprout again. It’s roots may grow old in the ground and it’s stump die in the soil, yet at the scent of water it will still bud again and put forth shoots like a plant”. If a tree cut down can produce a plant or leaves again by the falling of a small quantity of rain (Dew), I also refuse to give up. I comfort and encourage myself this morning and I want to pray that you encourage yourself in the Lord like David and keep pushing while remaining hopeful that this condition will not remain the same. Someone has said, “No condition is permanent”. And not even yours will be permanent in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Amen. God will come through for us. Let not your heart be troubled. Believe in God and believe in what I say to you this morning. God is not man. He will show up for you and for me. Let not your heart be troubled.

PRAYER
Pray this prayer with me: LORD, I refuse to give up. LORD, I refuse to draw sympathy from men. LORD, I refuse to be hopeless. LORD, I anchor my faith permanently in you and I strongly believe that you are coming to rescue me. My faith will not fail me, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Amen. NomannopassGod!!!
