MORNING SHOWERS OF BLESSINGS MEDITATIONS (MSBM)

TEXT: ISAIAH 43:1-28
THEME: MY PAST IS OVER
Dear friend in Christ Jesus good morning blessings and win today. A lot of people are still living in their past, the more reason why they cannot make progress. Some are so used to their past that they always dream that they are still attending primary school in their village. Some dream many times of very olden days activities. It’s not bad to dream but if your own dream is only dreaming about your past failures, past challenges, past problems, then something is eventually wrong. If you cannot think about the future and dream about good things coming into your life, then something is absolutely wrong with you.
The people of Israel had lived in exile until they were almost becoming comfortable with their new suffering. Yes, there are people who have experienced challenges until now they have simply embraced it and have said things like “What can I do again?” Or There’s no way out for me. Let me just accept my situation”. No! In our kingdom of God we don’t accept situations like that. We fight until we cannot fight anymore and when we fight we know that the Helper of Men will come to our aid. We shall win and we shall conquer for winners don’t quit and quitters don’t win.
My friend, you must do everything you can to move away from your past life experiences. You must delete from your memory all those negative thoughts and things that have happened to you. You must erase from your mind all those people who have hurt you and everyday you’re carrying them in your heart as loads. Life is not about looking backwards or at where you fell but rising up and facing your future. The only reason why the devil is making you to constantly connect to your past errors, past shame, past conflicts, past marital challenges, past business failed deals, past lifestyle, is because he wants to constantly be hurting you. Yes, the more you remain in your past the more you’re hurting and the more you’re hurting, it has no benefits on you but one objective, and that is to destroy you. No profit comes from a negative past. No gain will emanate from a negative relationship. No amount of weeping and shedding of tears of what happened to you in the past will change what will happen in the future. Rather, it is for you to stand up, wipe the dust off your body and be determined to move on. It is that driving force within you to forget about the tragedy of the past and face the hope of the future that will create opportunities for your new season and next level.
In line with what I am saying to you this morning, this is exactly what the Prophet Isaiah was instructed by God to tell the people of Israel in exile. God said, “Forget the former things, do not dwell in the past. See, I am doing a new thing. Now it springs up, do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and rivers will flow in the wilderness” (Isaiah 43:18-19).
✓ God says he will make a way out for you where it’s absolutely impossible to find your way out.
✓ God says he will water you and you shall not be dry. In other words God is saying you will live in plenty of fruitfulness and prosperity and not in lack.
✓ God is saying, as far as He God is concerned, there’s nothing as lack and obscurity or hopelessness in your life for that is what a Desert represents. You shall not live in that experience.
✓ As long as you allow the Almighty God to lead you, he will show you a way out where you don’t see one.
✓ The desert is so vast and you can get lost there but if you trust in this God of Bishop BAH, He will show you your new destination of safety.
My goodness!! What an incredible God we serve. What an incredible God we have. Look up to God for your new season and the next chapter of your life. Your past is over. Your new season is here, hallelujah!!!!
