HOLD YOUR PEACE. GOD WILL FIGHT FOR YOU

 

DON’T ALLOW ANYTHING OR ANYONE INTIMIDATE OR THREATEN YOU. FEAR NOTHING AND FEAR NOBODY. HAVE THE HEART OF A LION FOR YOUR FATHER IS THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH AND YOU’RE ALSO A SMALL LION OR LIONESS

 

Dear friend in Christ Jesus good morning blessings and win today. I want to begin this meditation by announcing this very important big good news and win for the Church and Body of Christ. The Ministry of Public Health on the 18th September 2024 issued us an authorization for the creation of our own hospital right here at RCC INTERNATIONAL Goshen City Cathedral Limbe. What a big news to the glory of God. We will have to build a modern hospital (Goshen Health Center) to provide Christian care to our physically sick brethren and to also give employment to many of our jobless health personnel. What a huge blessing for the Church. We are making this public so that if you know organizations and individuals who will be interested in partnering with us in the construction and equipping of this Hospital, please do not hesitate to let me know via my email piusbah@gmail.com or by my phone number below. One big success for the Church is also a huge success in your life. The Lord blesses the Church so that you can have confidence that he’s answering your prayers too.

 

As we continue to study the book of the prophet Isaiah we are gradually seeing how the gospel of Good News is becoming a reality. No one spends time with God and does not see rewards.

 

In our text of today, the King of Assyrian sends his messenger to go and terrorize Hezekiah King of Israel and to force him to submit to him and pay allegiance to him. If they fail to do so, he will invade their land and carry all of them into exile. He even questioned the power of the God of Israel. He said he has also destroyed the other nations and none of their gods were able to save them and so the God of Israel will not be able to save them from his hands (Read Isaiah 36:16-20). The messenger even made an allusion to the fact that any alliance with Egypt will still not save the people of Israel against his wrath. They must submit to him and make peace with him or suffer the consequences. What a mockery. What a ridicule ? What a blasphemy ?. Despite all these my Bible says the leaders of Israel remained silent because the king has told them not to respond to the threats of the Assyrian commander.

 

✓ In this life, some people will bully and threaten you and try to make you compromise your position and to do only what is in their favour . Any attempt on your part to reject such barbarism will be met with additional threats. I remember some years back some people threatened me to vote a particular candidate during elections and I said I will not vote for that person. They vowed to do me all sorts of things. I said I cannot be threatened. Naturally I am not afraid of anything or anybody. Weak people are fearful people. I am not one. I know the God I am serving. They tried to frustrate me but see where God took me to where I am today. We must fear God not people. We must stand on what’s right and hold on to our faith in God without compromising. Nobody should intimidate you if you know the God you’re serving.

 

✓  Hold your peace and be silent. Don’t be shaking, don’t quarrel with anybody. Just maintain your silence and do what is right. King Hezekiah told his officials not to respond to the threats brought up on Israel by this messenger to the King of Assyria (Isaiah 36:21-22). Sometimes silence is the answer. Don’t waste your energy trying to reply to people or fight back. We just sit back and you see our results fighting and shaming you.

 

✓ Lastly when the messenger came and was speaking in Hebrew to the hearing of the workers and guards in the palace, the King’s officials pleaded that he should rather speak in Aramaic so that only they would hear and not all those around but the messenger instead blew the thing out of proportion by shouting to the top of his voice;  drawing the attention of the other palace guards and workers. There are people like this in our lives. When they see your errors, they would want to let everyone know about it so that they can discredit you. Don’t focus on them. Just leave them to act the drama and when they are done you will still move on. I have had such people in my life. It has been proven scientifically that a lie can only last for 21 days. After that nobody will be talking about it again only a few. The officials of Israel ignored the Assyrian commander and that’s what I want you to do to those who are so passionate about seeing you fail in life. Ignore them all and keep moving ahead.

 

Finally, there are 365 fear not statements in the Bible. One is for each day. Fear not today and fear not tomorrow. Don’t fear anything or anybody. Keep doing what’s right. Someday the enemy will pay for the workers of iniquity he has hired against your life.

 

Pray this prayer with me. Heavenly Father, I thank you for fighting all my battles. I thank you for standing with me and putting all my haters and adversaries to shame. I thank you for disgracing them and I pray cause them to be fighting each other disgracefully and publicly. This you have shown to me that every man will drink from his or her own cup of wickedness before they die. I pray for all who are undergoing threats and intimidation that they will not succumb to the whims and caprices of the devil, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Amen and Amen.
