THEME: BE ON FIRE FOR GOD
INTRODUCTION: The message I’m preaching today is part of what Papa Billy sent to me. He encouraged me to be on fire for God and I’ll see more results in my life and ministry. So I have decided to share this revelation with you all.
When I listened to him for one week, I felt the need to deepen my faith more in the things of God. I took eight days of no-food fasting last week. Within this one week, I have seen God show up.
What does it mean to be on fire for God? Being on fire for God is a phrase that means to have a passionate and intense love and devotion to God, to the point where it motivates and inspires one’s actions and decisions.
This Christian race is for those who have made up their minds to see God and then experience the miracles.
Some of us want to see the miracles but we don’t want to make the sacrifices and commitment. You cannot scam God and have good success.
How many times do you pray? How often do you open your Bible to read and study? How regular are you in Church? How passionate are you about your ministry and the things of the Spirit? Between money, business, Church and God, which do you value more? Answer before you continue!!
Most, their Spiritual life is cold. We run after enjoyment and our own pleasures but we have refused to be hot fire against the devil. Because we are not committed we cry to see results and it’s not coming. The things we struggle to get, if we connect to God, they will come to us so easily.
If you follow the programs of this Ministry or MSBM and put the teachings into practice. Pray and fast regularly as I encourage, Study your Bible, you will have the kind of results you’re seeing around your spiritual people.
Look throughout the Bible, God wants men and women who have the desires for the things of the kingdom but we have people whose only agenda is to dress well and come to Church. How passionate are you about your Christian life?
We are busy talking about people and their lives instead of spending time with God. We sit in private corners, fabricate lies and believe the lies they tell us and judge people you don’t know their secret corners and fellowship with God. Gossiping and talking about nonsense is what is occupying most of us instead of studying the Word of God.
Some of us cannot even pray. The Bible we don’t even have one or read it all. Church some of us are irregular, after all we don’t give fines in Church. Tithes you don’t pay. Group or Church assignments you don’t do. Lack of dedication. How can you experience the results you’re looking for?
You can be busy for yourself and think you’re succeeding, God can destroy that business or success or money you have in one day. Go and ask what happened to Job, ask what happened to Nebuchadnezzar, ask Pharaoh, ask those who have seen flood, fire burn down everything they once had. You’re not too wise.
Be on fire for God for your own testimony to manifest. Remember the firebrand man of God Benson Idahosa who declared that the planned meeting of Witches and Wizards in Benin City cannot hold and it didn’t hold while he was alive. It was because he was dedicated to the things of God.
People like Katherine kulhman, Billy Graham, Smith Wiggleswoth and those great men and women of God who took their generation by storms and God performed wonders through their hands. It was because they were dedicated to God.
John Knox prayed and said “Lord, Give me Scotland or I die”. You can also pray passionately for the salvation of your family members and the nation.
St Patrick, a rugged Believer that Brought even Dead Animals and Trees Back To Life Prayed: “God, Give Me souls or Give Me Nothing Else”. Have you ever felt hurt when you came to Church on Sunday and see the Church scanty and deep in you, cry to God that people should come to Church?
Some of us will instead go home and spread false alarms, the Church was so scanty today, people are not coming again. The Pastor, Priest or Prophet is this and that. Instead of praying for your Church, you spend time joining the devil to kill it with your tongue. It’s you that your tongue will destroy not the Church.
Brethren, The Hebrides revival prayed: “Lord, if you will not use us, please, kill us”. I ask my pastors and Christians everyday let them show me their commitments? How dedicated are you? Is it to hold a microphone in Church or belong to a group or be a leader that you think is enough? See the prayer of revivalists above, can that be your prayer point too?
The brethren from England who brought the Fire from Azusa Street reviva Gathered everyday under the terrible cold. Their only prayer topic was: “Lord, give us Men that will spread Your Fire in the streets of England”. But some of us when rain falls we wrap our blankets. We complain of distance and transport to go to Church. Shame to the devil at work in some of us.
During the Indonesia Revival,, Those Hungry Hearts were see Praying day and Night: “Lord, The harvest is ripe… If it pleases You, Please use us”. But today we don’t want to go for evangelism. We don’t talk about Jesus Christ to our customers. We don’t invite people to Church, if we did our Churches will be fuller.
One prayer that was common during the days of William Seymour was: “Lord, this is another day that hell must lose men and women. Please, we are here use us”. Where are the prayer warriors? The Church is supposed to have prayer warriors coming to pray regularly in Church especially on Saturday before Sunday service. Where are they? Are you a prayer warrior in your Church or you are Sunday Sunday Christian??
Paul said:” Woe is me if I preach not the gospel”. You don’t even have a Bible, how can you even preach. Your phone is now your Bible and you’re ashamed to carry the Bible around. Terrible generation. You don’t even open it the Bible and then how can you even preach it. You’re ashamed to talk about Jesus Christ. He will be ashamed about you too.
Rachel said to her husband, Jacob: “Give me children or I die”. But unfortunately, our Churches are filled today with people who are not ashamed of spiritual barrenness.
The Church members are busy asking “God give me money. God give me spouse God give me Visa”. Serve God with passion and see the results come into your life. Serve !! Serve!! Serve!!
Where do we see believers again that will be praying and fasting, and when you Listen to them, you will be hearing: “Lord, let Your Fire fall on me, fall in my community and let there be revival everywhere. Can you hear these types of prayers? No! It’s all about material things, visa, house, cars, marriage, jobs etc. Terrible generation!!
When Paul encountered Christ, he fell and rose. What He asked was:” Lord, what will You have me do”. But today, when we fall under anointing, We start expecting marriage proposals, Visas and Employment letters. Chaii
This generation of members in our churches have not had a genuine encounter with the Man of Calvary. Because when you encounter Jesus Christ, He becomes the priority and everything follows in their numbers.
No generation has carried Bibles like us without opening it. Window dressing baby Christians. Let’s be serious with God. I provoke you to be serious from today. Let your passion for God drive you mad for God.
No generation is materially driven like ours and we expect the land to obey us. What most of us are busy doing now is chasing business and money. I didn’t teach you business on MSBM so that you forget God. That business will crash someday and that’s when you will find God and not have Him.
Let’s build up our spiritual life because its very necessary. If you miss heaven you can never miss hell. Think about it. Hell isn’t a pretty place. We must wake up and take God serious.
Joshua said “Decide today whom you will serve but as for me and my family we will serve the living God. Don’t quench the fire (1 Thess 5:19).

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, I pray you light the fire for the things of the kingdom in me. I refuse to be a baby Christian but to take my rightful place in the things of the kingdom, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Amen.
