MORNING SHOWERS OF BLESSINGS MEDITATIONS (MSBM)
TEXT: GENESIS 37:1-11
THEME: LET THE PEOPLE SEE YOUR SUCCESS NOT YOUR PROCESS
Dear friend in Christ Jesus good morning blessings. I strongly believe in hardwork and I encourage hard work as a guarantee to success. But do you know that a lot of people work so hard but don’t end up succeeding? How is that possible? There are many reasons to this but there’s one common mistake that most people make and that is telling a lot of people about their plans and dreams and ambition before they ever come to be. Talking about your dreams and plans to people who have nothing to contribute on your way to such a process is very dangerous and disastrous. If you’re going to build your house, then it’s normal that you discuss the details with the engineer or builders but what is the need of telling your circle of friends that you want to build a house? What is the necessity of telling your friend that this or that guy is planning to marry you when he has not even come to see your parents and paid your bride price as a guarantee of that marriage? Why tell all your neighbours that you’ve won the American DV lottery when you’re still going in for the visa interview? Are they the ones to give you money for the interview if you’re tight up?
Nobody needs to know your plans. Nobody needs to know of your ambition to buy a new car. Nobody needs to know your plans, ambition, prospects etc. Most of the people who know your plans will be jealous of you. They will be asking why is it you that wants to have this or that? Even if they cannot stop you, most people don’t know how to put up with the success of other people. Some people kill their friends not because they want to but because they cannot stand to see that you’re the one about to succeed in this way. They cannot stand to see that you’re marrying, or you’re the one travelling to U. K or you’re the one building that big house or you want to drive a Prado or Lexus car. So out of frustration and bitterness, they plot evil and eliminate you. Who killed the other? You killed yourself.
Joseph had a great dream for a wonderful future. He told this dream to his brother because that for him was the best thing to do, telling your close siblings about your dreams and plans. He did it out of genuine love and family unity and progress. Joseph believed that the success of one is/was the success of all but is that what his brother had in their heads?. Did his brothers love it? No! Even his own biological brothers hated the success of their junior brother. Do you know that there are many family members including siblings that are jealous of where you are and some wished that you even died? You think that I am joking? Hmmmm. Wait until it happens to you then you will remember that you read a meditation like this. Even his father was angry and rebuked him. Nobody believed in him. If they only didn’t believe in him and left him alone that would have been better but they attempted to kill him if not for the intervention of one of his brothers and because truly God was the architect of that future, else that dream would have ended a dream. And that is how many people have died and gone with bigger dreams into their graves because they told someone their plans and dreams who couldn’t stand it and they got killed.
You think you’re too special that the devil and your enemies will not want to stop you? Many people don’t know how to stand the success of others. Try to close your mouth and talk little. Keep your privacy. Keep some of your secrets and if possible all your secrets keep them. Let them see you travelling or already having your visa in your passport. Let them see your new house when you call them for house dedication. They will come and shout “Chaiii you didn’t even tell me?”, Just smile and say but we are already here na. Let them see your wedding invitation card not showing them your husband to be. Have you not heard how friends have sabotaged their friends to their husbands to be and marriage scattered before it ever began? Let them see your car not the picture of the car you want to buy. Let them hear that you’re pregnant and about to give birth simply because you cannot hide your big stomach. Some can even kill the baby in the womb. Stop talking a lot and learn to keep some things to yourself. You’re even talking like that and you don’t even know how to back yourself up in prayers. Stop trusting people and telling them everything about you, your family or your future. If you continue like this you will not go anywhere. Enemies are everywhere even in families. Some friends are “Friendnemies” (friends and enemies combined together). Remember the story of Joseph and be wise before it is too late. I am the voice of someone crying in the desert. I am John the Baptist. Watch out before you become a victim.

The BOOK COVER ABOVE is that of my first ever written book titled, “GOD OF ALL IMPOSSIBILITIES”. I wrote this book at the most frustrating time in my ministry. I was completely forgotten and abandoned despite my hard work and commitment to serve God and the Church. In my frustrations and rejection at the time in 2012, God asked me to begin to write this book and I began to see God in another direction. In my pain I began to develop personal joy and happiness while others thought they were destroying me. God told me He is the God of all possibilities. I believed Him since then and see where he is taking me today. I want to encourage you, weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh with the morning (Psalm 30:5).

Pray for yourself and ask God to help you keep your things to yourself. Sow a seed in our Ministry project and see God work wonders in your life and family.
