MORNING SHOWERS OF BLESSINGS MEDITATIONS (MSBM)
TEXT: ISAIAH 25:1-12
THEME: GLIMPSE OF HOPE
Dear friend in Christ Jesus good morning blessings and win today. We live in a desperate and frustrating world. Many people are going through a lot and it’s even difficult for them to explain or speak out and even if they share their pain with you, it won’t add up to anything because many people with whom we actually share our predicaments with don’t even have the capacity to help us because they themselves are passing through untold and inexplicable sufferings. Life is hard. Pain is inevitable. Suffering has become a necessary burden and all we live for is hope that someday things will be better and that someday God will help us. What else can we pray for? What else can we hope for in such a discouraging world? If not to rely on the one who holds the future, our God.
The people of Israel have had their own share of the pain and anguish. They had experienced great rejection and abandonment. They were forsaken by the same God who promised them through their genuine Prophetess and prophets that all will be well and that he will be their God and they shall be his people. Time has passed and nothing as such is happening. On the contrary all they now see is total invasion, torments from their captors and misery. It seems all hope is lost.
✓ Yea, you need to get to that point where you come to realize that the whole world is standing against you.
✓You need to come to that point where it seems nothing is ever going to work.
✓ You need to come to that point where you cannot even help yourself or eat well but a lot of people depend on you for survival.
✓ You need to come to that point where you’re asking yourself if truly God is alive.
✓ You need to come to that point where everything you have hoped will work out for your good suddenly changed and nothing is working.
✓ Desperation sets in.
✓ Doubt in God is heightened.
✓ Uncertainty looms in the atmosphere.
✓ The future is bleak and senseless.
The question of why am I living in this world ? remains unanswered
If you’re not yet experiencing all these, I want to tell you that some people are going through a lot in this world as I write to you. They are fighting to be strong and look like nothing is happening but everything is not ok.
This was exactly the situation that the people of Israel at this point in time were passing through. God seems to have left them. And suffering and molestation was the order of the day as their captors treated them with disdain and scorn. Then suddenly and from nowhere, the prophet Isaiah comes in with a message of hope. A message of restoration from God. A message wrapped with glimpses of hope and promises. It was like a prisoner who had been sentenced to life imprisonment suddenly hears the chief warder shouting his name………. Mr……. The president of the Republic has granted you clemency. Pick your things and get out of Prison”. If you’re the one? What will be running through your mind? Unbelievable, right? No! Not possible!!!
This was exactly what the prophecy of the prophet Isaiah meant to the people of Israel and eventually it was the word from the Lord. It came to pass a few years later.
You’re reading this and you’re asking when will this happen to me also? When will I experience my own season of divine visitation and breakthrough? Yes my friend, I was up last night praying for over two hours and asking God the same questions. I have a lot I am asking God and believing him for but it seems the heavens are closed and God has turned to help some other people and not me. But as I prayed I heard God say to me early this morning, “Be Calm and Be Patient. I Will Act For You” (Psalm 37:5). It is this same hope that I bring to you. Don’t dispel and don’t lose hope. Help is coming to you. Help is coming to your family and help is coming to your Ministry. Be calm and be patient. God will act for you and your family and Ministry.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father I thank you for your promises. They never fail. I anchor my faith in you and I know that you have not abandoned me. Thank you for your presence and assurance that all will soon be ok for me and my family and Ministry, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Amen and Amen.
