TEXT: 1 CHRONICLES 4:9-10
THEME: THE GOD OF INCREASE
Dear friend in Christ Jesus good morning blessings and win today. Welcome to a new day and a new week. Let me share with you the teaching of yesterday to inspire you to pray and not give up. In the midst of your troubles God will answer you like he did to Jabez.
Jabez was more honourable than all his brothers. There are some people who are naturally born with a great destiny but powers are at work to stop them.

✓ Jabez has God’s backing from birth (Jer 1:4-10).
✓ Jabez was chosen but circumstances surrounding his birth were negative. It is not how you were born or who gave birth to you but it is how to take your destiny into your hands.
✓ You may be born in a poor family
✓ Born from a low standard background
✓ No family legacy or family popularity.
But you can make a difference.
Jabez refused to be tagged with his family misfortune or hardship or predicaments. He threw that garment away and embraced a new future (Mk 10:49-50).
His mother named him Jabez; Meaning “Pain/misery”. Don’t allow people to define who you are. Don’t allow circumstances to put your back on the ground.
✓ The pain will never last.
✓ The struggles will never last.
✓ The poverty will not kill you.
✓ Today you’re walking alone, tomorrow people will opt to carry your bag.
✓ Go through that pain joyfully.
✓ Go through that struggle smiling.
✓ Many will never believe in you but tell yourself, I am going somewhere.
One thing you must do, is act like Jabez, don’t mind what people are saying. Don’t mind what the world is doing to you. Don’t mind what family is doing. Focus on what you’re doing and on Jesus Christ. Jabez cried out to God. When you have no one, have God . If you have God, you have everything. A Cow that doesn’t have a tail. God is the one sending flies away.
The Prayer of Jabez has five fold dimensions:
1. That you would bless me: True blessings and prosperity comes from God (1 Sam 2:7)
2. Enlarge my Coast/territory: This has to do with increase and multiplication (Gen 22:17-18 (NKJV or AMP) & 26:12-14). I prophesy, nothing shall be small or wasted in your hands.
3. Let your hand be with me: God’s hand is a hand of protection. It’s a hand of direction/guidance. It’s a hand of divine visitation (Psalm 138:7).
4. Keep me from harm: It is God’s will to keep us from all dangers (Psalm 23:4). The water will not sweep me nor fire burn me (Is 43:2)
5. Free me from pain: What pain are you currently experiencing? How deep are your wounds? Come to Jesus Christ and let him heal your body and your heart. Your story has to change.
Finally, God cannot allow us in our state of desperation. God is determined to frustrate the forces that are standing in opposition in our lives. Like Jabez let us put our hope and trust in the God of Israel and he shall vindicate us. Amen
GOD GRANTED JABEZ REQUEST
God cannot lie. God takes delight in his own. I pray that as God granted the prayer of Jabez, let him answer all our secret and open prayers in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Amen and Amen (1st John 5:14-15 & Mk 11:24)

Heavenly Father thank you for standing by me. Thank you for fighting all my battles. I declare that I am a winner and I know you always answer my prayers, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Amen and Amen.
